things of the day,
rocksandstars style
ribbons blowing in the fan, the wet feel of a new sponge, divots made by drywall screws, empty new cd cases, the chocolate-scented whoosh of hot air when you open the oven while baking cookies, the newborn baby portrait machine, napping boxer, sparkley joint compound
I'm getting pretty exhausted, but am looking forward to going out to dinner tonight. We had a great dinner experience two nights ago at Mandalay, the Burmese place a couple of blocks from my house. We had peppery chickeny spring rolls, and tempura-like eggplant for appetizers, and I had a rice noodle dish with chicken, lettuce, peanuts, and egg, which was completely unlike pad thai in flavorings and wonderful. Tim's dad leaves tomorrow, and then I have a week of down time before
janellie arrives. I hope to have the bathroom done before she gets here, but if not, we'll have fun tiling together :) mostly white tiles, with a border of different hues of blues and greens, and maybe some purple, with matching colors in the shower. Hope it doesn't end up being too dark... I really want the pretty glass tiles, but I know they'll probably be too expensive.
