pattern needed

I'm going to have 8 or so hours on planes. I need mindless knitting. Here are the contenders:

Wisp, in sock yarn.
Storm cloud shawlette
Razor Lace Scarf
Scrunchable scarf

Thoughts? Other suggestions? I wouldn't mind starting another Pi Shawl, but I don't think I have enough yarn to support it.

I like razor lace, but would you be bored by a scarf? would you rather knit something that is more cowl/collar like?

i haven't done a scarf in awhile, so i don't think i'd mind. i do like the shawlette because of the longer rows. i've done a couple of cowls and enjoyed them, but i'm trying to just pack 2 longer term projects rather than things that go quickly. i'm probably going to bring along my japanese vines scarf, but that one requires more thought, so i need something to balance it.

The iPod Mitts caught my eye the other day. It's essentially a ribbed tube with an extra tube for your thumb.

The chevron/feather & fan scarf is also pretty mindless. Just the one row with increases/decreases and straight knit/purl for the other rows.

If socks don't scare you, there is Brainless. Aside from the cabling, it looks llike a lot of straight away stockinette stitch.

i wish i liked sock knitting. i have been eyeing the chevron scarves for awhile - my earliest queued patterns include that scarf.

i have too many wristers right now - some of them are being neglected. it's sad.

I have a chevron in "progress" that I started back in September. It's an excellent travel project because the pattern is easy to memorize, but it can get a bit dull as you repeat the same 4 rows ad infinitum until you get the scarf length you want. I loved having it while I was travelling and waiting for film fest screenings because it was easy to just pick up and keep track, but it doesn't get much action at home. I probably need to travel again to finish it. ;)

Scrunchable is a great pattern, but I think it'll bore you if you work on it for that long. It's very mindless.
