kismet09yay six flags trip canceled, but sadly, i'm still at work, waiting for my ride home to be ready to go. there's flood warnings here, which unfortunately haven't stopped the random sniper in the area... sigh...
We're limited to 50 hours' internet time every two weeks on our dial up connection from home, which means probably not too much time online this weekend, since mostly we're supposed to use that time for T to work on the internet class. Which will mean being antsy for me, especially with rain and not having much to do outside of the house. Perhaps we'll go and see a movie.
Got my birthday present (a month late, but that's how my family works), so now I have three new CDs (O Sister, Sheryl Crow and Dixie Chicks) to amuse me on my commute, plus a bunch of new work clothes, some books, and a nifty mini-torch for caramelizing sugar on creme brulee and similar tasks. And a really fancy green sapphire and iolite pendant -- gotta love having a jewelry store in the family.
