Jasper is currently on his leash, with the leash attached to a door knob so we don't have to hold on to him the whole time. As long as we supervise him, cat and both dogs can co-exist in one space, but right now we're trying to do stuff, so he's tethered. Cat has decided that Cassie must be a larger version of a cat, and is clearly not a concern, but Jasper is still scary. Cassie tries really hard to completely avoid Cat. I think this might manage to work out.

Went to Waltham Mills open studio tours last night. Oh, how I wish for a studio space to do my fiber stuff. I'd be so much more productive with a studio. The current setup isn't so inspiring. I dyed some roving yesterday and it's completely different colors than I thought it would be because I did it in the basement, where there's only something that vaguely resembles light. Eh.

I have a bunch of cat/dog carriers/cages you can borrow if that helps keep the peace. Two will fit up to 25-pound dogs, and one is a much larger fold-up cage for a larger dog. Let me know if they'd be helpful. Might beat leashes-on-doors?

thanks for the offer! I have a crate, so I can haul it out if needed. They seem to be doing okay so far. I'm pleased that I can call Jazz off of staring at the cat. I don't know how I ended up with a dog with manners.

I've just gotten about 300 sq. feet at the western ave studios. If you'd at all be interested in sharing space (I'll be storing fiber there, blocking items, using a knitting machine, and probably doing some dying) email me offline at my gmail addy :)

if it were in Waltham, I would totally do it, but I don't see myself getting all the way out to Lowell on a regular basis. I wanna see pics of it when you get going, though! I will live vicariously through your studio space :)

cat! heh- we have to come visit you again so that marcel can see that cats too are manageable. He loves your dogs! At least, making them sit!

i was thinking the same thing about the studios!! the small ones don't have running water, though. I even chatted with the one woman doing fiber stuff (fancy kumihimo belts and silks tassles) and she said that even with the studio, she does her dyeing in her basement. :(
