We have moved Valentine's Day, but have a happy one to those of you who are observing it today.

I just found out that one of my former advisees at an old school murdered someone he met online when they were on their first date. This is a little unsettling. I can't remember exactly who he is, and I can't find any pictures online, but I'm not used to being connected to murderers at such a close degree.

Finished Outlander, reading Dragonfly in Amber. Can't keep up with the history piece. Was a little distraught at having to buy a book in the Romance section of the bookstore. *shudder*

Am probably going to rip back 7" on my sweater, as I did my decreases backwards and it bothers me. You can see my shoulders through the raglan seams. Grr.

Soldier, Soldier (Natalie Merchant's version) makes me happy.

you (sorta) knew that guy? eek! scary.

we made fun of marcel's brother for "beating the crowds" sunday, and now are having a nice steak instead of going out tonight.. our reservations were too pricy for mediocre food. but whenever we get around to it we can pay ok for food we know will be great, and that's good enough.

Is this the one from Maryland? That happened here within the last few weeks- a guy met a girl online and then beat her to death on their date and dropped her body near 95.
