technological advances
Oct. 29th, 2010 05:47 pmI am trying to adapt to the idea of no cable, but I'm loving the access to my music collection in my living room. I have my computer speakers hooked into my mac mini, and I have the Remote app on my iPod touch so that I can control my music from anywhere. Now I just have to work on getting the music more organized.
There seem to be enough ways to access enough tv (especially if I get netflix through my wii) that I can keep myself entertained without the expense of cable. I'm 2-3 seasons behind on a bunch of shows that I could watch instead of counting on the current seasons, and I can get glee and others that I really want to see now via hulu or aggregators like plexapp.com that I'm finding out about. there is also apparently an HD antenna now that helps you pick up local channels... so much to learn.
