what is it we do these days?
Aug. 7th, 2006 11:58 amTim and I tried to take 24 hours off from working, and sat around not knowing what to do with ourselves. We watched some Scrubs, and wandered around, and I'm following the National Scrabble championship tournament on the computer, but otherwise? We thought about things we could do, but didn't really do much.
I did manage to unbreak my Palm. For two days, it just wouldn't start, so I kept trying to charge it on different outlets, and hit the reset button, and for an unknown reason, it started up again yesterday. I reloaded all of my Scrabble flashcards. Good times.
This week, I could hypothetically finish all of my writing for this summer that is available for me to do. That's exciting stuff. A month ahead of schedule means I might get other work done before the kids come back.
My garden has a million and twelve green tomatoes. They taunt me. Red up already. It does have ripe cucumbers. I picked one and ate it yesterday, with curried thai hamburger with basil, which is kind of an odd food product. I think I'll stick with the childhood favorite hamburger teriyaki and peas with ketchup when I want a rice bowl with meat.
Lunch already? Time flies.
