So I got a new bike yesterday at REI -- it's a K2 Rosario, but my bike has to be a boy (because it's a boy bike -- my last bike was a girl bike --I prefer the lower bar on a women's bike, but I also thought I'd buy a bike that corresponded to my height, and there is no such women's bike at REI). Thus, he will be called Hector. He fit me fine at the store, but this morning, I realized I was wearing 1 1/2" heeled boots while assessing the frame size, so now I'm scared that he will be too big for me. At 7 this morning, though, I didn't feel like wandering downstairs to check it out, so I will do so after work. In any case, he's a lot bigger than my current bike, which is for the better.

While surfing around bike links, I found wombats.org, which made me giggle.

It was too cold and windy to take it out for a real ride yesterday (although I rode it briefly around the REI parking lot), and today it was snowing as I left. Boo.
Okay, I had things when I started writing this, and now I forget what they are. I guess I'll make up some new ones:

  • Tim will be teaching Math for Elementary Teachers next semester. That means he will take me to school three days a week. This pleases me.
  • We had breakfast for dinner last night - waffles, soy sausage, and hash browns.
  • I dreamed that I ate dinner alone at a restaurant in Chicago on New Year's Eve, and that I had a black puppy.
  • My shoes are too big for me again today. I am definitely shrinking.
  • I started a new knitting project that's calling my name from my bag, but since I forgot my stitch markers, I don't really want to work on it.

Now, the quizzes: I belong in 1967 (1960 - 1969: I am a free spirit with a huge heart. Love, peace, and happiness rule - oh, and drugs too) according to What Year Do You Belong In?, and I am 50% Left Brained, 50% Right Brained (The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning. Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others. If you're left brained, you are likely good at math and logic. Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet...The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility. Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way. If you're right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art. Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports), according to Are You Right or Left Brained?. Finally, my love number is 2: Of all the numbers, you are the most caring and empathetic lover. Unselfish and humble, you find it easy to forgive your sweetie's mistakes. At times, your need to please can be come a bit too needy. As long as you remain somewhat independent, your relationships are perfectly balanced, based on What Is Your Love Number? I'm not sure how I got that answer.
