I'm almost (almost) glad to have come to work today, because the drive was so beautiful. The snowfall yesterday was wet, so close to the freezing point, and every branch of every tree has a thick coating of snow. I'd focus my vision just above the signs that flanked the highway, so that all I could really see was trees. Mmm. It could've only been more perfect had the snow been coated with a layer of ice, with the sun shining down and making everything look like it glowed from the inside. Those are truly my favorites. But, had that been the case, I may have had to skip work and go and sit at the lake and stare, so perhaps it's just as well.
