counting down.

So my right knee is all eaten up from the earlier fall of the bike, but it no longer actively hurts. I limp a little, but the biggest problem is that, without the active hurting, I keep trying to cross my legs in my "normal" way, which is left over right, and it really, really hurts when I do it. Despite this, I've tried to do it about six times today. Grr.

My computer seems to have put WINDOWS (that's the file name it's giving me) in my Recycle Bin. It won't let me see it to take it out, nor will it let me delete it. This is one of the weirder problems I've come across with this computer. I'm ready to start again from scratch now. I'll have the IT people come and reformat it at the end of the semester, I guess.

Yesterday I did laundry, loaded the dishwasher, went grocery shopping, packaged gifts to ship until I ran out of tape, loaded about 20 cds on to my computer, and wrote a pre-med letter. Not bad.

I think I am running out of things to say in this journal, but still trying to keep up with writing once a day or so. Hmm. I will have to start using flashback posts, in the vein of "remember that xmas when..." pretty soon. Or maybe I'll just run away to Chicago and not post much while there.

Anyone going to be in the Windy City between 12/22 and 1/10? Lunch? Dinner? Movies?

Another hour or so. I can make it. And then I will be rewarded with popcorn and Finding Neverland.
