In need of Spring Cleaning

All I want to do is go home, throw away half of what I own, and spend all of my time spinning. reading, gardening, and being with the people I like. Maybe even meet some new people to like. I am so uncentered right now. The past three nights, I haven't been able to sleep because my brain is racing about, thinking of budgets and work and yarn and any number of things, and I've been so tired at work. I need to reorganize, streamline, and take some time off. Running. out. of. patience.

And I have choir tonight. For our chamber group, I sing Exsultate Deo as a second alto, and then have to switch over to soprano for True Vine. It's about killing me. I'm not that talented that I can get to both ends of my range in the 25 minutes we have to rehearse the pieces, and it's disheartening. In the former, I sing from A below C to B flat, in the latter, I have to sing up to G, in the middle of nowhere, and I just can't quite get there. Plus, the people left singing soprano on Exsultate are always flat and totally uncomfortable with the piece, and the concert is on the 16th! It makes me sad how unready we are. The music for this concert is just a little too ambitious for the talent level of our group.
