I have been neglecting this journal as I have been posting in
k8knits. There is some sheepy, wooly stuff over there, including a picture for
chompyheather that is worth linking ( here: )
Ah, the things people can do with a little bit of fluff and a lust for blood.
So, most of the weekend was spent spinning, knitting, and spending too much money. I had really good french fries both days, and have kettle corn left over at home as well. I stayed away from the deep fried twinkies; I don't think that my system could even handle those any more. Another curiosity of the Festival -- there were many women who were considerably taller than I am. I came up to one woman's shoulder as I passed her in one of the sale barns. Wow. I'm not used to feeling of average height.
My throat has finally healed, so I can eat fruit again. Thank goodness. Although I did have some really good mac n'cheese this weekend, made with sharp white cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan, baked with soy sausage (there's one type that I can stomach) and baby peas (again, there's really only one brand that I like) -- I think it had a therapeutic effect on my throat. Tonight I will try not to eat french fries for the third day in a row while out at Bowie Town Center.
I have actual free time this weekend. I think I'm going to move all of the bookcases down to the basement to make the blue room/guest room/second bedroom/craft room feel a little bit bigger. I also have plum tomato and eggplant sprouts to plant. And then there's the issue of the tons of wooly fuzz all over every floor surface of my house.
