wool and such
Apr. 29th, 2004 09:34 amRochelle and I just played a great game of e-Scrabble. We averaged 24-25 points per turn, and that's with only one of the blanks in play. Phew.
The 23rd/5th meme: see you all on sunday! unless i get pathetic and check this from chicago (am way too addicted. sigh)
(for the record, I didn't post again until I got home, which means I probably hadn't learned to back date yet, since now I write most of my trip logs with backdating - also, most of the post was about food. Not much has changed re: what I consider important when travelling).
On what is now my 5th day of eating only warm, soft, salty foods, I really miss fruit. I am scared of the fair food at Sheep&Wool -- it's probably all edible to my evil throat problems, and bad stuff that my body always craves. At least I'll do a reasonable amount of walking around and can therefore justify at least some french fries.
May Chapin Carpenter has a new album. Why wasn't I informed? I have already blown my CD budget this month (purchasing many best of... CDs: Suzanne Vega, Counting Crows, Sessions at West 54th, plus Celtic stuff and Emmylou Harris -- it was only $35 including shipping -- how could I refuse? Stupid BMG). I am trying to be extra good, at least until after this weekend's wooliness.
Anyone know the zoning laws for keeping a sheep on 0.25 acres? I'm guessing you can't do it, but I've googled many random terms (backyard maryland sheep, sheep laws maryland, livestock maryland neighborhood, etc) and haven't come up with anything. It would keep Jasper in good shape, although it may cause mental anguish to said sheep. There are probably laws about that as well. I'm sure someone will be able to tell me at the actual festival.
Someday, I will learn to make my own set of mood icons. It will have such more interesting mood options. And maybe it will let me choose an icon and type in a descriptor. I wonder if that's possible. I wish I was more computer literate. I was so good back in the age of DOS prompts; 13-16 was really the pinnacle of many of my successes -- playing with computers, riding horses, fitting into cuter clothes (and shoes). Why couldn't I have 27-year-old perspective to enjoy such things? If I did, though, I probably wouldn't have been jumping (relatively) tall fences on horseback. But I would've drank more milk. And tried to convince my feet to stop growing.
