Jan. 14th, 2003 09:48 amtuesday! i'm beat. am gulping my coffee. might actually get a second one, and i never do that, but it's breakfast blend which is my favorite, and i've finally realized that i need to add less milk and more sugar for it to taste good, and now it's so lovely against the cold wave that has hit Maryland.
i was at work until 6:30 last night, got dropped off at starbucks by kevin the carpooler, picked up by tim and whisked away to the bowie scrabble club. from 715-1030, i played 5 games of scrabble, won 3, lost 2 (but one by only 14 points, so it barely counts). i came out with a spread of +120something, which means in terms of net score, i beat out my opponents by more than they beat me, which is something. i bingo'ed in every game (seiving, swaying, brawling, and a couple of others that i don't remember offhand), and broke 400 once, and 300 in every game but one. was definitely brain fried by the time i made it home, but i've never had so much fun in an assisted living residence.
i have finished two major artist trading card projects -- the Mixed Media LMAO and the ATC Primer. the primer has been a pain in my side for a couple of months now, but it looks great (if i do say so myself), and i ran 25 copies at work, and just need to print out the color front page (although now i'm thinking it may end up black and white after all, because it's too hard to make surreptitious color copies).
i am behind on my nervousprojects again. i've decided to knit 14 bags for the 20things LMAO, and i'm only through 5 or so. i suppose i should start making them smaller or something. i have 2 or 3 or maybe 4 journals right now, and need to get moving... i've just been out too many evenings, and haven't had the chance to devote the hours that i usually do... hopefully this weekend, even though it's tim's birthday, so i probably won't get much done. i bought him three pairs of pants, a cookbook, a pastry brush, and i'm going to get him some wooden spoons and spatulas. so romantic, i know.
when i deposited money this morning, i accidentally pushed the buttons for $12.70 instead of $1270.00 -- i hope the real people who get the checks notice :) i suppose i should stop by the bank and give them a heads up later today
