back in the library again

Four more days of Orientation before I get a couple of weeks to put my office back together and relax a little, and tend to all the students who have been trying to get in touch with me for the past three weeks. I have written 3 1/2 of my pre-med letters, which is bad, since I'm supposed to be through at least 7 by now.
It's transfer students now. I like them. They know what's going on, more or less, although they also have a tendency to feel more entitled, which can be challenging.
Tim really thinks he'll be done next summer. He's started surfing about for tenure-track jobs. Only one more year in Maryland sounds almost surreal to me right now. Findyourspot.com still suggests I live in either Connecticut or Oregon.
