kismet09I just bought six skeins of bulky, grey heathery yarn, a pattern, and the needles to knit my very first sweater. I think I'll start it once I'm back in Maryland, but it's an exciting prospect. I also finished the hat that was supposed to be mine to match my scarf, but my mother co-opted it, so I'll have to knit up another :)
Tomorrow we start cleaning out my family's jewelry store. It's been in the same location for 45+ years, and I am not looking forward to all of the dust and madness that we will uncover as we start this process, but it'll be so nice for them to have a chance to start over, and have friendlier landpeople, and air conditioning and heat...
Before that, though, I get to take a field trip to Bloomies and exchange the camel colored cashmere sweater that I got for Cmas (that would bring the total of beige-ish sweaters that I own up to four, and no one needs that many). I think I will opt for a bright color - something I don't have already - maybe red. Today I went to Old Navy and got a new black sweater and a pair of jeans. Must stop shopping soon.
I plan to be better behaved about spending money once we're back in Maryland. I have many plans for the next year, but I won't call them resolutions, just plans and maybe goals, if I get crazy enough :)
Off to finish my raspberry chocolate mousse and dessert wine. Am so spoiled.
