annoying tolerance levels

So I plied my first homemade yarn this weekend.
I did many other things as well. I did not, however, go to the march. I wanted to, was planning to, and then I had a beer and a half and fries on Friday night, stayed up too late, stayed out in the sun too much on Saturday, and ended up barely able to remain on my feet by Sunday, which meant that hours in downtown DC, most of them requiring being on my feet, was out of the question. Sad. My body never reacted this strongly to sun or alcohol when I was younger. I don't think I like this growing up stuff so much. So instead, I spun, practiced some Scrabble on my computer, whined, laid on the bed and read, and otherwise did much of nothing on Sunday. My friend Margaret came out for the weekend though, and she managed to march, so at least there was that. And our dogs didn't kill each other, so there was that, too. And we went to Maryland Day and heard Tim sing, and saw the Ikea-renovated residence hall lounge, and went to Bethesda and had tapas, and had a dog birthday party, and otherwise had fun together. But still. I wanted to march.
Does anyone besides me get cold sores in their throat? It's painful. Grr.
And two of my appointments so far this morning have been no shows, so this week feels like it's starting very slowly. I need some momentum here, or I'm going to crawl on to my couch and take a nap. Except now it's lunch time, so if I don't find Nicky, I think a nap it will be. Leftover chicken/spinach/fresh basil/olive pizza, and then a nap. Mmm.

I know how you feel...I am also very frustrated that I wasn't able to go to the march.
