Campus is quiet. Between classes being over and the freezing rain, there aren't many people out and about. I'm proud of myself for making it to work today - most of me just wanted to stay home, but there's a concert on campus here tonight that I want to attend, and I had a ride to work, so I suppose it's good that I'm here, even if all I'm doing is getting my office organized and downloading holiday music. We're singing Coventry Carol this weekend for the Montpelier Mansion concert, and I've never sung it before, so I've put it on CD to sing along a few times. During rehearsal, we sang our carols a capella and dropped almost a full tone by the end of each. Very sad that we can't stay on pitch. I hope it wasn't me, but it's hard to concentrate on keeping up a pitch on songs that I'm used to just sort of singing along with and not paying attention.
I bought soup for lunch. This is never a good idea, as I have little heat tolerance, which means I'm sitting and staring at my soup, but probably won't be able to eat it until well after my supposed lunch break is over. Of course, since I have barely any students around, I could probably eat lunch with my door closed until 5pm today and no one would notice.
I did grown up things today: wore my old shoes to work and actually brought nicer shoes to wear during the work day); made a doctor's appointment; called Kaiser to correct my misspelled name on my health plan
