My kidneys hurt, and I have a headache. I'm trying to decide whether it's from drinking coffee and taking Allergy Sinus meds with an empty stomach, or if I'm finally catching whatever it is all of my advisees keep bringing into my office. In any case, all I want to do is go home and curl up in bed.

Tim's parents arrived yesterday in time for his choir concert, which went very well. We had Chinese food, and they were drained from an overnight flight, so we left them at home after dinner and went and hung out at Borders for an hour and a half. I felt fine yesterday, so I don't know what's going on now. I'm drinking lots of water and hoping that that will help. The President of our school has been invited to show up at a student organization meeting that I've also promised to attend. Of all days to hang out with the President, I'd rather it was one where I was feeling at least 75%, and I'm not there right now.

I've also had three no-shows for appointments today. I don't know how all these kids think they'll manage to see me before they register. Next Thursday and Friday walk-in days are going to be horrible at this rate. Whine whine whine. I'm taking Monday after Course Registration off for recovery, then another two weeks and I get to be on vacation. I was sick all last winter vacation, and if that happens again, I'm going to kick someone.

I hope that you feel better soon. It's never fair to fall ill on a holiday or your time off from work. I couldn't believe that I got sick while in New Orleans! Nope, not fair at all. Interestingly, this weekend I happened to be reading the 7 labels on the side of my prescription for Allegra-D and it says not to eat 2hrs before or after taking it. However, I am not sure if that holds true for all antihistamines.

Don't forget, Survivor is on Wednesday night this week. I almost forgot! Although, now that Rupert is gone, there really isn't anyone that I want to have win. Did you hear that Rupert will be in the All Star Survivor show? That could be interesting. Ok, I'm babbling. Feel better!

Hmm - I never noticed that on my Allegra :) I guess reading those warnings can't hurt, but they haven't caused any serious side effects for me yet :)

Thank you for the invite. We would definitely be there, but my parents decided this weekend that they are coming to our place for Thanksgiving. I've decided that I am going to start cooking the turkey Wednesday night [since last year it took just about 8 hours for the damn thing to cook!] Tonight will be a wonderful evening of fantastic-madness-while-grocery-shopping! ;-)

I hope that you enjoy your time with Tim's parents. My Father wants to see a movie while they're here. It should be an interesting few days. We will have to make plans for next week!

Next week sounds good -- as far as I can tell, we're free on Thursday. I was sad to not get to help celebrate Brian's birthday -- I emailed him on Saturday about maybe doing dinner, but haven't heard from him. Hope you guys had fun with all the festivities this weekend.

He ended up working Saturday and Sunday. We really haven't had a chance to celebrate properly. We had a nice evening together Saturday night, but he was mostly exhausted from getting up at 5:30am to get to Baltimore. We'll have to pick a place to go out to dinner sometime soon and we'll get the waiters and waitresses to sing to him ;)
