kismet09Driving into work (okay, riding, if we want to get technical), the fog was heavy, the trees were pretty, and we were listening to Celtic music. I felt like I should be riding a pony across the moors rather than riding in a Nissan Sentra to work. Boo. It has been an interesting day at work, though -- it's the deadline to drop courses, so many students are wandering in to visit me and tell me their sad stories of struggling in classes. Good thing I know that I'm not coming in tomorrow and therefore am in a happy enough mood to empathize and offer good suggestions, more so than I usually am.
Choir will come together, and we'll sing Carmina, and I'll hit the high A, but not the C, and it will all be good and over soon enough. Then, on to easy easy Christmas music, and then the theater-inspired concert. Tim's men's choir director offered him a seat in the tenor section of the National Philharmonic Choir, which rehearses in Rockville. We may both end up over there after this year. Can't say I'm disappointed -- I'd like to not be the anchor voice for my part any more. I'm just not that good. I hope there's a Chevy's near the rehearsals in Rockville, though - I'm really enjoying the post-singing margarita habit we've gotten into.

-best of cd mix to a couple of people (also get to use one i've made)
longer term:
-3 secret pals thingies
-miro themed atcs (want to paint the background layer soon, to make sure the technique i'm thinking about will work)
-sharpie marker atcs (plan to do some abstract art with sharpies on white paper, then cut mini-snowflakes and glue to a silvery black background. hope that looks like i'm hoping that it will)
