a day not completely wasted

I'm not motivated. I know that from next Monday through December 5, I will be inundated with advisees, 250 of them, 15 minutes at a time. Plus two choir concerts next weekend. Plus the general annoyance at having to try to track down the ones who don't have the sense to make an appointment early enough. So, in defiance of all that work, I'm having trouble doing anything this week. Also, it's 78 degrees out, in November, and the average high is 57, and the record high for November 4 in College Park, MD, was 83 degrees in 1974. We should declare a work holiday. I will declare a work holiday. So there. Except it's supposed to rain until Thursday, and then be cool again, so apparently today was the last best day to declare a work holiday. But, if I'd declared a work holiday today, I wouldn't have gotten my lunch date, and then I would have been sad. And I wouldn't have so much good stalker material as I was given today. Anyone else out there on fotki.com? I'll stalk you, too.
One of the advisors with whom I work told me that I should start selling my knitted bags on consignment :) I thought that was sweet, considering the bag that I felted doesn't stand up like it's supposed to, and I hadn't even finished the ends in yet. I still like it, and it's definitely gift-worthy. Hoorah. Will post pics to my other journal, at some point. Oooh... almost 4 already. Time to find one more project to push me through...
