Back in the land of the online, as our dialup connection has decided to try to redeem itself and has been working all day. went to Takoma Park for Farmer's Market (as we do every week) and were happily surprised by a street fair with fun vendors, three (small) stages with folksy and bluesy bands, and fresh thai iced tea. The fair and the atmosphere made it worthwhile walking the 6 or so blocks from the car to the fair, since most of our favorite parking areas were blocked off to traffic. Came home with squash, pear and apple ciders, broccoli, apples... normal Farmer's Market stuff. We also ran into T's running buddy, who's supercool and watches Buffy. I wonder if she's on this lj thing - she seems like the type who might be :) whatever that means

I always wonder about the stats of sites like this - age ranges, median age, education levels, ethnic backgrounds - all those fun demographics. I think I was born to do research. When I was away at my conference in Salt Lake City, the sessions that most interested me were based on qualitative research studies, mostly for people's dissertations (which reminds me, [livejournal.com profile] dreamattack329, my film should be developed by tomorrow and I'll bring you doubles). I guess I will eventually have to find my way back to school. But before then, I want to take lessons to learn so many other things: how to use my sewing machine, color-work in knitting (I need to find the courage to just suck it up and start a sweater), lino printing and other printmaking, voice (to work my range up to a real first soprano), etc etc...

Laundry's in, one game of Scrabble played, made it through 200 pages in my most recent nervousness bookcrossing book, which I really want to finish before I have to give it up to the next person. I think I'm actually caught up on nervousness projects for a change, which is amazing to me... I even have some extra handmade envelopes made up. Go me. Now if I could just motivate to get the laundry put away, and get to Lowe's for some lumber to build my laundry table (to hide the baskets, and to sort socks, and all that other domestic goodness).

It's cool you got the pictures developed already. Thanks! I was away all weekend, so I haven't had mine done yet. I am actually at home today, very sick. No surprise there, considering how I was feeling last week. You can bring me the pictures at Wednesday's meeting, and I will bring you your NACADA binder.
