how did it get so late?

One large box and three bags (and a purse) later, I think I'm packed. I have a feeling I'm forgetting a hundred things. It's surreal, leaving one home to go somewhere that isn't another home - I feel like I should be headed back to Maryland tomorrow when I'm on my way to Mpls for the conference. I know that my head is going to play weird tricks on me when I get there, with the withdrawal from both the family and the boy, and the being surrounded by raving extroverts (not that I don't like some of them, but I'm easily overwhelmed). I almost wish I had just gone on vacation here and skipped the conference all together, but then I'd probably go completely bankrupt, judging from all the spending I've done here.

So computer access will be even more limited for the rest of my stay. Sigh. I'll have to find a someone with a laptop and an internet connection in their room and make some new friends...

I have my laptop in my room (and internet on the TV but it's like $7.00 and hour) but I'm using the Email Center computers in the convention center. I'll probably type up an update while I wait for my friends to get out of the SCGSNP directorate meeting.

We should plan to meet sometime
