1. Are you a vegetarian? Vegan?
No, but I eat quite a lot of vegetarian meals since the husband is mostly one.

2. What's your favorite food?
Depends on the mood and the season. A fresh cucumber from the garden on a hot summer day, a bowl of pot roast over rice on a freezing cold one, the carrots that have stored lots of sugar in the fall that taste like candy... plus bacon. Everything is better with bacon.

3. White bread or whole wheat?
Depends on the application. White bread or sourdough for grilled cheese. Wheat for most sandwiches.

4. What's for breakfast?
Coffee, trail mix. On a special occasion, a German Pancake with powdered sugar and lemon.

5. You're making a Dagwood sandwich. What's in it?
I have no idea. What is a dagwood sandwich?

6. What's on your pizza?
If I'm making it at home, caramelized onions and chicken, because I can do the onions the way I like them. Ordered out, often artichoke hearts, spinach and chicken.

7. Coffee, tea, milk, or soda?
Coffee.

8. Dark, milk, or white chocolate?
Dark, mostly.

9. Teetotal, beer, wine, or hard liquor?
Vodka martinis, white russians, the occasional hard cider.

10. Does cilantro taste like citrus, or like soap?
Eck. Soap.

11. Is chorizo the greatest thing ever or is it totally disgusting?
Pretty darn tasty.

12. Do you use garlic like a vegetable or like a spice?
Yes. :)

13. Onions: raw, cooked, or not at all?
Cooked, well-done.

14. Does broccoli taste sweet or bitter?
Not really... it tastes like broccoli.

15. How do you feel about fish?
I should eat it more often.

16. How about sushi?
Yum.

17. Fave ethnic cuisine?
All of the above... moroccan is among my favorites, but probably because I don't get to have it very often. Thai and Indian are my go-to date night dinners.

18. What's your favorite fruit
Whatever's in season... I have vivid, happy memories of eating buckets of cherries in the pacific northwest in late spring.

19. Cheese - thumbs up or thumbs down? How about blue cheese?
Yum. But I still can't deal with stinky cheese very well.

20. Finally, favorite dessert?
Anything made from scratch and served warm, preferably with fresh fruit involved in some way.

i slice them in crescents, put them in a heavy pan over medium-high heat with no oil, and cook them, stirring here and there, til they're starting to brown. i then add oil, turn the heat down to medium, and keep stirring occasionally until they're dark brown. yum.
