Cat seems to be settling in okay. Jasper, on the other hand, doesn't seem to have eaten in the past, oh, since Friday. Or if he has, it's been when we aren't around. Usually, he won't eat all day until one of us is home, and then he'll eat. Lately, when we're home, he stares at the cat, and does nothing else, unless we force him to be in another room with us, away from the cat, where he sits patiently until we let him go back to staring at the cat.

Cassie has gotten very good at ignoring the cat. She even played with a toy yesterday while the cat was in the room. That's good progress.

Also, I think I might be allergic to cats. Yuck.

Hum - not eating is a bad thing! Poor Jasper, that's not good news. It's so interesting that he's so intent on the cat. Did you get the two dogs at the same time or did you have Cassie first? (I'm just wondering if he's had a "new animal" come into the home before.)

yeah - i'm hoping the allergic is just a change of season.

we do a lot of dogsitting, sometimes two additional dogs at a time, a week at a time, and jasper's totally cool with them being in the house, sleeping in his bed, etc. he only does this around cats.

I thought we had determined that you might be allergic when you guys came over to my place? Maybe not, who can remember that far back. Hopefully it's just seasonal or something. Odd season though.

he's terrified of baby sheep. i don't know if he's been around other animals. he hangs out fine with small dogs.

Let me know how things are working. I'm a little worried if he still isn't eating! I'm away again this Saturday, but home on Sunday if you think you've reached a decision about the catters & need to have her picked up!
