i'm not really sure when the playboy stint was - maybe i'll ask about that next time i'm home. back in the day of michael jordan, a friend also invited him to help shoot on the floor at the bulls stadium. i was jealous, and i don't even like basketball. he's done all kinds of random stuff, and i know very little about that part of his life - he manages the photo facilities at columbia college in chicago, so that's my main understanding of his photo background. i think my mom mentioned the playboy thing at one point, and it's the kind of factoid that sticks :)
