We had a potluck at lunch on Thursday. By Friday, some people were sick, and by Saturday, almost everyone in my office, plus the two offices on our floor who also participated were sick. I'm thankful that I stayed home on Friday - I think I missed the worst of it. I was a little queasy on Saturday, and took my oscillococcinum and felt better by Sunday. A bunch of people were feverish, and nauseous, and otherwise miserable all weekend. Ugh.

Ew. Food poisoning is the suck.

Did they ever pinpoint the culprit?

That is horrifying. I am glad that you didn't get too sick, though.

Don't think so, but it wasn't my food, 'cause I ate it again this weekend and so did Tim, and he didn't get sick.

you can just call it oscillo (OSS-ih-low), and you can find it at most health foodie stores: http://www.oscillo.com/

Usually it's the meat items that cause problems. Although I think food poisoning is supposed to show up pretty fast after eating. Being a veggie, I don't have to worry about this quite as much as other people do. =)

i ate spinach pie, red pepper dip, ambrosia salad, cheese and crackers, smoked mozzarella salad, and a whole bunch of desserts. no meat to be found, although quite a lot of dairy. and yeah, food poisoning is usually a rapid response thing. i'm thinking someone may have had a virus and cooked and it got spread, but that's a pretty darn effective virus for everyone to get it.

My bet would be either the pepper dip or possibly one of the cheese dishes as mold can sometimes be hard to spot in those. For the dip I guess it would depend on what else was in it.
