i am electing to have surgery, such that the chance of tailbone cysts is reduced drastically. the day the md had open is my anniversary. romantic. good thing we front-loaded our vacay plans this sumer. i hope to be better in time for the national scrabble tournament.

parts of downtown portsmouth were shut down due to a suspicious person on a greyhound bus bound for boston and then nyc. there were three robots, a no-fly zone, and nine hours of stand-off. madness! it seems to have ended well, though. my town did not explode. hooray for robots.

my fabulous friend maratcal is only an hour away right now, and yet we won't get to see each other as part of her travels. this makes me sad.

my cd swap mix is coming along. i've whittled it from 3 gigs to 2 gigs... almost halfway there.

i'm dyeing yarn like a crazy person for a surprise crafty thing that popped up for early june.

my scrabble tourney is looking excellent. i'm excited for how strong the field will be, esp since it's the last time i'll get to play a tourney before nationals.

i'm thinking of applying to phd school. i meet with an advisor in a week to talk about it.

i am so addicted to caffeine that walking by a starbucks yesterday and deciding not to partake in a beverage gave me a withdrawal headache.
