it's a mental health day, thanks to these new glasses - my first updated prescription since '03, since i didn't have a good vision insurance at brandeis. or if i did, i didn't know how to access it. so, these are my new glasses, total cost of appt + lenses + frames = $40. i like the frames well enough - i'm sure i would've picked a different pair if presented with tons of options, but it was a lot easier to choose from the 20 or so free frame possibilities at sears optical.
so, the glasses are much stronger, but the world is much clearer. i'm dealing with a little dizziness, and a lot of apathy, which was a perfect combination for taking a day off of work. today, i plan to clean the guest room, watch Scrabylon (which I've never seen), start reading Omnivore's Dilemma, and not play Jewel Quest II all day.
