Tonight after work, I will watch two episodes each of How I Met Your Mother and Big Bang Theory, because I haven't caught up from last week. I'll also skein recently dyed yarn so I can send it to
woolarina.
Today, is rainy and gloomy, and I just want to curl up under my downy comforters. Instead, I'm here until 7:15ish because of a workshop at 6.
Yesterday, it was a little startling when the sun went down while I was sitting in my office yesterday. Daylight savings time is nice in the mornings, but less so walking home from work. We made a tasty and fast meat-free carbonara-ish pasta last night: olives, bread crumbs, smoked mozzarella, parmesan, eggs, and caramelized onions, with a bit of parsley and red pepper flakes. Simple and satisfying.
Sunday, we had edamame and rice for dinner, because we ate lunch at 4ish, and thus weren't very hungry. We also played two games of Scrabble at Barnes and Noble, and I bought books (and have even started reading one of them).
Friday through Sunday, we Scrabble tournamented. I feel like I learned important things, and also played reasonably well. I play more thoughtfully against better players and players that I know than I do against strangers and 'weaker' players. I wish I could play equally well against everyone without subconscious biases coming into play, but so it goes.
Thursday, we went to Maryland.
I feel much more caught up now.
