So Tim called RCN, and switching to digital cable, which includes the Soccer Channel (where you can watch ManU and other teams that I won't pretend to know too much about) was only an $8 increase in price per month.  We will also get movie channels, a DVR, and other various goodies.  I might have to procure a second television, especially if I really do get a PS2 for my birthday.  We're still budgeting such that we will have a high-def flat screen by the World Cup '10.

Yesterday while studying Scrabble, I came across calque, a curious word-related term that I hadn't seen before.  I'm intrigued by the ways that words have gone from language to language.

soccer = danger

the good news is that 1. the foot isn't broken, and 2. it isn't the driving foot.

even so, trying to crutch up to the third floor at work and entertaining the parents this weekend will make for a somewhat bitter mthgeek.
