mmm weekend
Sep. 5th, 2006 09:32 amMy weekend was both relaxing and full of stuff that I like. We had a hotel reservation for a canceled Scrabble tourney in CT. We didn't end up using it, but we did end up in CT anyway. Headed to the outlets on Saturday on the way there, and picked up shoes and shorts for Tim, and a few random clothes at Eddie Bauer. Got there when it opened, left around 11 because the crowds were insane by then. Managed to convince myself that I didn't really need the Bose noise canceling headphones, even though they were on sale and very tempting (especially since my headphones are in the process of dying).
After outlets, we played a bunch of Scrabble, then headed home. Sunday, we played four games together, did some housey things, I dyed my hair, and we had tasty food at the Deluxe Town Diner. Monday was a quick trip to Tim's school, then falafel, then an unexpected day of more Scrabble. I think I played 18 games this weekend, with a record of approximately 13-5, I think. I need to play a little less and study a little more right now. I'm itching to know more words, and I should take advantage of that feeling. I keep printing off lists and losing them, though. That's less than productive.
And now, a four day work week! That's the best part about three day weekends, I think. I forget that they tend to lead to four day work weeks. I have a slew of things to do this week, but I only have to worry about them for four days. Plus, I can see my birthday on the calendar, and that's always pleasing.
