The fiber fest was more of a success in terms of hanging out with people than necesarily selling yarn, but I suppose that's okay. I did make some money, and I did it while sitting outside and spinning for most of the day, and it was a nice day for that. Plus, I got the Biggest Iced Coffee Ever, and that made it less bad. The fabulous [livejournal.com profile] geekpixie showed up, spinning wheel in hand, and helped [livejournal.com profile] dharleenk and I with some of the questions that get older and older as craft fairing goes on. There was only one allusion to Sleeping Beauty all day, which surprised me. We couldn't hear the music of the folk fest, which is the biggest complaint I have, and not that big of a complaint at all.

Now, I must find a crock pot such that I can start making more yarns without heating up the whole house. I may hit the thrift stores today or tomorrow. I miss dyeing.
I took my interests list down to 70 from 110. It was too unwieldy, and too many of the interests were too peripheral, or repetitive, or almost-accurate but not quite. It was tough to get it that low, but it makes me feel better.

I want to throw away everything I haven't touched in two years and be rid of it. I might start doing that in the basement pretty soon. Or at least throwing it in the yard sale pile. The community-wide yard sale is in a month or so. I have to start the purging early or I won't do it.

We keep all of the shades drawn to keep the house cooler. It was feeling like a den of iniquity this morning and I had to open things up. Tim and I are both out of the house most of the day this week, so it can stand to get some light while we're gone. The dogs can sit in front of the fans. I wish the a/c timers let me set the things to turn on an hour before I got home. Maybe that'll be the excuse to exercise - get home, turn a/c on, go out and do something for 45 minutes, come back to reasonable temps.

I have a salad in a tortilla for lunch. Cucumbers don't like to be forced through the cheese grater, but they'll go if you force them.

I'm not ready to be here at work yet. I need one more weekend day.
