tidbits

I feel about 80% well today. This is a vast improvement on the past seven days, especially for a morning, since I always feel worst in the morning.

I decided to reread Da Vinci Code yesterday. I have literary amnesia. I read the thing when it came out, and in rereading, I realized that I remembered only tiny bits of the book, or I'd remember them right before I reread them. But, I finished it, and I am pleased.

I wandered around this morning trying to remember which Indigo Girls song talked about 'clarity' and felt like a bad fan when I remembered that it was about the most obvious song it could be.

Rochelle - your CDs are in an envelope, and I'm headed to the post office as soon as I finish typing this.

Tim put in a new faucet for me. It's pretty and bronze colored and matches the soap dish and light fixture.

I keep wearing my blue suede Sketcher sneakers to work. They really aren't work shoes (especially since I bought them in Davis in 1994 and they're getting a little holey) but I love them and they're cute shoes, so I wear them. I think I deserve a pair of blue work-friendly shoes.

I'm 2/3 of the way done with my first sock on 2 circular needles. My feet are too big for sock knitting for myself.
I can't stop listening to:
Breathe (2 AM) - Anna Nalick
Not Pretty Enough - Kasey Chambers
Leaving Here Tomorrow - Elisa Piemer

and less whiny, but probably still annoying to some:
Whispers of Summer - Eliza Carthy
Time - the greencards
Redefinition - Magdalen Hsu Li

also, am going to start collecting the Grey's Anatomy songs. Listening to [livejournal.com profile] anneball's iPod playlist has inspired me. I guess that means I should put my desktop computer back together.
