Dec. 21st, 2005

The new furnace was installed yesterday, and due to some technical difficulties, didn't get turned on til 7:45 or so last night. By 6:30 I was freezing, so we left the house after dinner and managed to get a bunch of holiday cards written, with the aid of tiny cookies and hot cocoa at Starbucks. We also took our daily trek to Home Depot for lightbulbs and some other madness that I don't even remember. I also went to sleep at 9:30. That helped me feel a little more human today.

Some time before we leave, we should probably suck it up and get everything out of the 33 cunningham house. There are still little remnants all over the place. The last of the packing/moving is always the worst.

I can't convince myself to write the letter I need to write at work. Argh. There are very few projects that I have left to do, and this one isn't at all inspiring. That doesn't bode well for the summer, when all I do is write letters. I am still burned out from this year's process.

But! Tomorrow the burly facman people come and move my desk for me. It is time for a new perspective on the world at work, and the desk turning will be the beginning of that. Hoorah. Of course, it means one more moving experience. It will never end. Ever. Or maybe it will by February. That would be nice.

Oh! I'm finally getting around to watching my Sports Night DVD set. I finished the first disc and put in the second one in the box, and it turns out my set is defective, and I have two copies of season 1, episodes pilot through eight, instead of having a copy of season one, episodes nine through sixteen. This is very frustrating. I skipped to episode seventeen, but I feel a little lost, not having seen the intervening eps. Life is hard.
