Now that Thanksgiving is over, I am thoroughly excited for Christmas. This is the second Monday morning in a row that I have had a Starbucks peppermint mocha and thought fondly of [livejournal.com profile] maratcal. I've figured out most of my gift list, and even made most of my purchases, and am compiling a wish list for Tim's parents. I have my holiday cards, and will write the letter that goes along with them some time in the next two weeks. I love receiving cards, I love giving cards. Want a card? I can't make the poll work for me, so email me at my livejournal.com address and I'll be sure to get one to you. Stupid polls.

I have one of those weird pit of the stomach feelings that something isn't quite right. I wish it would go away, or manifest itself more clearly so that I could deal with it.

aha.

I have one of those weird pit of the stomach feelings that something isn't quite right.

So I figured it out:
a) someone had hijacked the projector I needed for my group presentation
b) the laptop I had signed up to use wouldn't recognize my flash drive, nor did the monitor resolution work correctly
c) no one showed up for group advising until after the scheduled start time, so I left and came back up to my office, and advised them as they wandered in

Stupid.

But at least now I know what it was.

I hope that that was it.
You are Verin Mathwin! You seem to have your head in the clouds, but really you are a clever manipulator who is clearly focused on what you want in life -- quiz results within ) or I just don't remember the character. I suppose it's been 8 years since I read those books.

Today, I had many students accuse me of not telling them about their advising -- either that I didn't let them know who their advisor was, or even that they had to be advised. These were all sophomores. Take some responsibility for your life, people - you've been doing this for a year now.

14 minutes, then off to Scrabble.
Autism Spectrum Quotient

Your score: 19
0 - 10 = low
11 - 22 = average (most women score about 15 and most men score about 17)
23 - 31 = above average
32 - 50 is very high (most people with Asperger Syndrome or high-functioning autism score about 35)
50 is maximum

Scrabble was quite lovely tonight. I found odd bingos: PONTOoN, RAP(T)URED, qUEERI(N)G. I scored 369 and 420ish, and I enjoyed both of my games. More Scrabbleness tomorrow -- for now, I must drink hot chocolate made from Farmer's Market whole milk.
