this weekend in...

-Food: Friday night at East Street Cafe in Union Station. Food was tasty, but my stomach disagreed, and we had to cut out of Senor Discretion early 'cause of it. Boo. Saturday I spent most of the morning eating rice to calm it down, and then had grill food for dinner -- burgers, corn, chips, salad. Quite tasty. Rice and chicken apple sausage (mmm) for breakfast on Sunday, then grilled cheese for lunch, popcorn at movies, espresso milkshake at Mayorga, stir fry for dinner. I crave kettle corn. Baltimore's Farmer's Market's kettle corn person works at our town's fire department, so Tim is going to stop there and request a bag for me today.
-Chores: two loads of laundry, change of sheets, dishes, wrapping the last bit of the tree under burlap to protect from pesky cicadas (so noisy!), vacuum.
-Exercise: short bike ride (maybe 3 miles) on Thursday. A bit of walking on Friday. No lifting. Very bad. Weight still below the next tens digit, but not by enough. Pants falling off, however. Hm.
-Entertainment: half of above-mentioned Senor Discretion (thanks, kestrel127)! Word Wars movie, plus a game of Scrabble, in Silver Spring. I look so socially adept compared to most competitive Scrabble players. Met a new person, who is named Kate and wants to learn more about both knitting and Scrabble. Watched all of disc 1, and side a of disc 2 of West Wing Season Two.
-Fiber: Shawl is 25% complete. Bag done. Circular needle holder created. Scarf ripped down and restarted. Fingers a little tired. Did I mention that I have an Ashford Traveller hanging out in my house, ready to use as soon as I learn to attach a drive band?
-Unnecessary Spending: Vienna Teng second CD, plus Paste Magazine sampler 4; earring storage box; random buttons, to eventually be attached to a project.
