I joined the
48 Hour Zine Challenge posted in
nevers' journal, which I surf into once every few months, generally when I'm thinking about NYC or mix CDs. I haven't done a zine since two years ago (and I think that that was the first one that I ever did) -- Tim will be out of town June 1-4, and I will be looking for inexpensive ways to entertain myself, and maybe I can burn through some of my giant stockpile of collage materials and other craftiness in my house. The theme will likely be lists, or Maryland, or my house. Or maybe cicadas, at this rate.
Why can't cicadas cross-breed into something more interesting. Wouldn't it be fun if there were fireflicadas, or ladybucadas (but not centipicadas)?
I had a fabulous Scrabble night, maybe to make up for my lousy tournament. I won all three games, including one where I triple-tripled out on FIl(L)InGS on the bottom left half of the board for 113 points, and a game total of 521. I also bingoed on A(D)ORNErS and COATING. And I had a shortbread cookie.
