flavor

Nantucket Nectars apparently has new springy flavors. Today I had Pomegranate Pear, and while I have no idea whether it really tasted like pomegranate and pear, it was pretty good. There's also a red plum flavor that I will try tomorrow. I like having these little things to look forward to.

[livejournal.com profile] blackendstryfsh I still owe you a lunch, or money for a lunch, from a couple of weeks ago. And I'm not on campus next Monday. Bah.

So, I've gotten the scale from 1X9 to 1[X-1]9 pounds since returning from Winter Break in January. I think most of that 10 pounds was overeating on vacation, and that my body was just re-equalizing, but it still felt good to watch the numbers decrease. I think it's harder to be motivated when there's a 9 as the ones digit of one's weight -- when it was a 2, I was all motivated to get it down to a 0, but now I'm unmotivated again. Perhaps I should start using measurements instead. The best part is, I haven't bothered with any diets or other plans (which I can't stick to anyway), although I have upped my protein a bit, and tried to keep my bread/rice habit a little more curbed than usual. Too bad the only exercise I can really convince myself to do is arms -- I do have better definition there, but it's probably the last place I need to be trying to tone, since it was pretty normal already. Must do more crunches.

I leave for Philly on Friday. I have no desire to attend a professional conference right now, really, but it means work pays me to go to Philly and eat and stuff, and be out of the office, so it can't be all bad. I'm sure that once I'm there I'll be more excited about it. I think it was more fun when I had co-workers.
