(no subject)

I slept about 8 of the hours of the ride home, so it was very uneventful for me, and very quiet for Tim. Our house is still here and intact, which is nice. We bought groceries last night (which included potatoes, broccoli, leaf lettuce, tortillas, two fresh pastas, four kinds of frozen fruit for smoothies, and four big blocks of cheese). I alphabetized the new CDs and DVDs into our collections. Also went through the closets and tried to weed out some old clothes to make way for new ones. Tim's newspaper service recommenced this morning, so he's upstairs drinking tea and reading, and I'm checking movie showtimes so that we can see Big Fish some time this weekend.

The five things I missed most about my home while in Chicago (i.e., not people - I missed all of the people):

-my pillows, all soft and new and fluffy
-our knives, Wusthof Grand Prix, sharp and ergonomically crafted
-all of my bath products, and the choice of at least 7 different shower creams each day
-my mail, which should be arriving some time today. I visualize a giant truck, just for me, driving down my street
-colorful clothes, because I packed for high versatility, and most everything was black and grey

I think I'll have more Five Of... lists later in the day, but it's very cold in the basement, and I want to go and do the crossword puzzle and drink more coffee.
