(no subject)

so yup, we have a new car. she's a pretty forest green on the outside and very beige on the inside. the dealership (stohlman, i think, down near the dunn-loring metro) was really great - friendly, efficient, took us through everything and made sure we didn't have questions. if anyone decides to check out a vw or subaru there, drop our name and if you buy we get some incentive (i forget what it is) :)

i went biking yesterday (9 miles) and today (about 6) and it feels good to be active. eating more yogurt, less fried stuff. we'll see how long this lasts with the rain trying to convince me to go back to unhealthy choices.

just an update

Today's newspaper forecasted "Soaking Rain," so I'm almost giddy that the sky is blue and the temp is in the low 70s. Sat in Starbucks, enjoying the sun that streamed in through the glass as I drank my iced mocha, and then went to REI and bought a gel seat so that I can ride in more comfort, at least until it gets too hot.

I'm slowly becoming more interested in mail art type projects again. There are a lot of journals that I think I'll start in the near future, and I've almost run out of ATC primers, which means there are about 75 running around in the world. I'm also thinking of doing an envelope-of-goodness swap, since I've been a little disappointed in the ones coming around.

I keep forgetting how to look at people's pages of icons. Is there an easy way to navigate there? I also want to make a couple of new icons, but haven't gotten around to that yet... one with the mural in my living room, one with a Magritte theme, I think. It'd probably be good to get a knitting icon, too.
