haaaah-lelujah
Dec. 8th, 2002 06:00 pmone concert down, one to go. had a grand time singing Messiah. My throat is sore now, and I'm really tired, but it's been a great weekend. Got our tree and decorated it today (although there's barely room to sit in the living room now), went to Farmer's Market and found a nice wreath for $6(!!), made a bunch of CDs for people, warmed myself up with Scarlet Pimpernel and Aspects of Love, and then went to the concert. Am now home, eating leftover pizza, doing laundry, and drinking some lovely cider.
I'm trying to decide whether to take a sick day tomorrow.
Pros: I'm dead tired and it would let me relax; freshman advance registration is over, so I'm not in as high demand; I'd save my voice for my caroling on Friday, rehearsal and concert at the Montpelier Mansion on Saturday, and concert on Sunday; I could get caught up on the Xmas baking, wrapping presents, cleaning the house; I wouldn't have to drive; I wouldn't have to drive without my driver's license, which I accidentally left (in my wallet) at school.
Cons: I'm not really sick, per se, so I'd feel guilty; my office is a mess, and I could use tomorrow to clean it; I want to pick up the mp3 CD that I left burning when I was there on Friday; I'd miss my final radio show of the semester.
It all boils down to how guilty I feel tomorrow when I wake up.
