...was a whirlwind of eating and sleeping. Got home after the craft fair and promptly fell asleep on the couch before Tim coaxed me into the bed. That was around 9:45pm. Got up at 8:30 or so on Sunday, lounged around being tired and hungry, then went to Takoma Park for the Farmer's Market and annual street fest. Apparently, I was crafted out, as I had no desire to look at anything, but I did wolf down a currant scone from the Farmer's bakery booth and a Thai Iced Tea (mmm - sweetened condensed milk at 10:30 in the morning) from a restaurant near our parking space.

I was still starving, so we hit Mayorga's all-you-can-eat brunch. Coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, potatoes, garlic bread, ham, bacon, half a waffle, pineapple and strawberries and I felt like myself again. I also sat at the table and knit while digesting so that I could eat more. On the check, our table number was designated "KNIT," which made me smile. I have finished the body of a sweater, and am working on some oversized bell sleeves right now. So nice to knit for myself again. Stopped by Paula's and picked up the craft goods that I'd left in her car, and then headed back home.

Decided that the living room had to be rearranged (as I often do on nice days when the seasons are changing). Moved the stereo to the other side of the room, popped the shoe rack out of the closet to try another tactic at harnessing the overwhelming number of boots, sandals, and tennis shoes, moved the couch, moved it back, watched Tim change an outlet from two-prong to three-prong, falling asleep on the floor for 45 minutes in the process. I now have a nice, cushiony ottoman to sit on while I spin, instead of the hard wooden folding chair. We also bought a cheap but functional new lamp at Target to better illuminate my spinning space.

Tim cooked me a fabulous dinner -- ribeye steak with asparagus, salad, and fried butternut squash gnocchi with garlic butter. Mmm. Plus a bottle of spicy Shiraz. I motivated myself into working for a few hours after that, and passed out around 10:30. I'm excited for Scrabble tonight, but also want to get home at a reasonable hour to pack for the conference, clean the living room some more, and just get things back to normal after all of the fair-age. [livejournal.com profile] saintlex, I don't know how you do it -- I'm still exhausted, and that was just one craft fair, and I had three other people working the booth with me.
