Why is it that I'm working on a Sunday night? Oh yeah, 'cause I'm going to take Thursday off in honor of Restaurant Week.
Farmer's purchases: white peaches, blueberries, butter lettuce, Spring Cheese, and then a stop off at Savory for a mocha and almond croissant, and MoM for bread, milk, garlic olive oil chips, and nori sheets, from which I hope to make maki some time this week.
Spring Cheese is a lovely thing. It's made from the milk of the cows as they're grazing on the new grass, which includes lots of the weed-like oniony grass stuff that pops up, so the cheese is imparted with a garlic flavor. It's only available for a month or so at the market, and it's one of those unique foodstuffs that I will miss when I move.
Finished the border on the tank top.
Ate a bowl of popcorn.
Biked a fast trip around the lake in the light drizzle.
Dinner tonight: homemade (Tim-made) pasta with fresh plum tomatoes and rosemary from the garden. I guess summer could be worse.
