Update up at the knitting journal with pictures of my latest creations, all of which were knitted from yarn that I spun with the wheel or my spindle. My fingers tingled for awhile after knitting a whole pair of mittens in the space of about 24 hours.
I'm in my office. It's freezing, but it's nice to be here for a change. I found my planner -- it was hiding in the back seat of the car. It's been missing for about a month. Perhaps we should clean the car once in awhile.
I'm working half a day today. I figure it's okay to ease my way back into work. I had a 30 minute appointment with a student today -- just finished his first year (with a sub 3.0 GPA as a pre-med) and is seriously searching for direction. He sounds so confused. I wish they could accept that they don't have to know *right now* and that they should just work on becoming well-rounded people with critical thinking skills, but alas, you couldn't have convinced me of that as a freshman, either.
Tomorrow is more orientation. I better get to doing things in the office while I have the time.
I leave you with a picture from my front yard.
