I can grow an orangish red beard in a month. It is a mighty scarey sight to behold.
My Asian brothers with their dark hair don't grow much beard hair.
So ... I guess it aint the color so much as who you are.
It takes a dedicated man to have a remarkable beard, because 80% of American women prefer their men clean-shaven.
