Everyone should sing in a Messiah once. We just had our dress rehearsal and yum. I'd love to sing in a do-it-yourself, where the whole audience sings, just to hear the final chords of Hallelujah. It's so much easier to find the sixteenth note runs with the violins behind you, and so much easier to hit the As and Bs when you can sing full voice and not feel out of place. Sigh. And I did some creative visualization during the solos - how I wish I could sit and sketch while the soloists sang, to have a creative outlet.
I did work a couple of rows in a xmas present hat during our break, so that's something. I carry knitting everywhere now. I'm working three projects on 10 1/2 needles, so I can keep them on two pairs, and just knit with the extra fourth. I'm also working on my first pair of socks. I'm using size 9 dpns and I still feel like they're too small to deal with. Circulars I like, double points, not so much, but it is nice watching the neck of the sock materialize.
This weekend I will do my Griffin and Sabine ATCs. I've never read the books, but I love the style of them, and hopefully I can do them justice. I've asked for a digital camera for xmas, mostly so that I could post more nervous/craft type projects :)
Time to let the dogs in...
