Friday Five: Organization

Would you consider yourself an organized person? Why or why not?
I live in a state of well-ordered chaos :) everything is everywhere, but I know exactly where that is.

Do you keep some type of planner, organizer, calendar, etc. with you, and do you use it regularly?
I use my Outlook calendar on my work computer. My social calendar isn't so full that I need to write things down to get through a weekend.

Would you say that your desk is organized right now?
Nope. Too many students, too little time. I'll get to that on Monday.

Do you alphabetize CDs, books, and DVDs, or does it not matter?
My CDs are sorted by frequency of use, then genre, then alphabetically within each genre. Some are in books, some are in cases. I can find any of the 800 originals within the space of a minute. The burned ones are less predictable. Books are in order by genre and size. DVDs are alphabetical.

What's the hardest thing you've ever had to organize?
My wedding. I have an obscene number of lists and schedules still saved on my computer. Some day I'll look through them and laugh at myself. Once the day arrived, though, everything was so well-ordered that I didn't have to stress about anything organizationally-related.
