I want to own my own business someday. Has absolutely nothing to do with any of my academic training, but hey, it's what I want to do. So my newest business idea is a combined coffee shop and yarn store - one room will have the bar, lots of jars of tea on the walls, big, comfy chairs and some tables and such. The other room will be the yarn store side, which will also have big comfy chairs and small tables. Customers can wander back and forth between the two, testing out yarns, drinking their beverages. I'll hire someone who will be available during all open hours to teach new knitters how to knit. I even have a name for it: Stitch and Twitch (knitting and caffeine? hey, it rhymes anyway). Anyone want to move to wherever I decide to open it and work for me? :)

crochet would definitely be allowed - in fact, I would hire you as a resident crochet expert. Maybe I'll make a pitch to the AOL village (which I consider akin to the Olympic village from your descriptions) and try to get it set up in there...

We have a village? Well, it wouldn't surprise me; this place has everything else! My mind still boggles at the concierge service...and the fact that they assigned me a "senior relocation specialist" to help me with moving-related stuff.

Anyway...we'll have to hook up (pun intended) for that crochet lesson sometime!

yes, we do. If I drove more, that'd probably be a lot easier. I'm free all day tomorrow 'cause Tim has to run a workshop, but if I were to get a ride to the Metro, it would be at 7:30am, so there's no way... I plan to work on the driving this summer.

Well, I wouldn't want to give you my icky cold anyway, so tomorrow would probably not be good. But hey, if you can't get to me, I can try and get to you sometime -- I have a car. :-)

(I'd offer to help with the driving, but both our cars are stick-shift...and I can say from experience that first learning to drive on a manual bites the big one!)
