nice surprises
I like buying used books on amazon.com -- I rarely buy one for more than 2 bucks, and they tend to take so long to arrive that I forget they're coming. Case in point: Outlander. I think someone on my friendslist must've recommended this to me, or written about it somewhere awhile ago, because I'm not sure why else I would've bought it, but now I have it, in its 850 pages of glory, and it arrived as a total surprise.
Yesterday, I purchased some heavy worsted alpaca blend yarn and a ball of yarn I need to finish a hat that's three inches from the top. In some ways, I hope it takes awhile, too, so that it's like a present when it arrives.
I also have 4 packages that need to go out to people. This weekend, I swear.
